Dehradun has grown into an attractive tourist destination appreciated as much for its beautiful setting as for its mild climate and leisure opportunities. Dehradun, one of the most important towns of the state of Uttar Pradesh and serves as the gateway to Mussoorie. Surrounded by lush green forests and hills,Dehra Dun has always been a favourite with the tourists. Rishikesh is situated amidst a calm environment, impressive water front, dense forest & hills.Virtually a town of saints, sages and scholars, Rishikesh is a large religious centre located on the right bank of river Ganga. Haridwar is situated on the right bank of the holy Ganga, and is the point where the river spreads over the northern plains. Haridwar is among the seven sacred cities of India. It is also one of the four venues for the Kumbh Mela, held in its magnitude every twelve years. Essential a religious centre which holds promise of salvation for devotees, Haridwar is also a centre of herbal medicine and traditional studies at Gurukul Kangri.
