Access Kaziranga National Park



Kaziranga National park can be approached by road from the nearest town of Bokakhat, which is about 23 km away. The nearest railway station and airport is Jorhat at a distance of 84 km. Jorhat is 303 km from the Assamese state capital of Guwahati. State transport buses ply between the two cities.

By Air :
Jorhat is the nearest airport connected by Indian Airlines flights with Calcutta, which, in turn, is connected to other Indian cities as well as many destinations abroad. Calcutta happens to be the most convenient and cheapest airport to fly to for tourists from Southeast Asian countries.

By Rail :
Furkating railway station is situated on the broad gauge line connected directly to Guwahati, which in turn is connected with the other major cities in India. Trains like Brahmaputra Express to Delhi and Kamrup Express to Howrah (Calcutta) stop at this railway station. An Intercity Express connects Furkating with Dibrugarh and Guwahati daily.

By Road :
